The collection of Vivaldi manuscripts in Turin includes two copies of Orlando Furioso dating from 1713 and 1714, both long supposed to be by the composer Ristori with a few insertions by Vivaldi. Maestro Sardelli has proven that, in fact, the second one is entirely by Vivaldi. In 1727 Vivaldi reworked this opera, a version that we recorded in 2014.
